Pastor Ron
Pastor Ron grew up on a dairy farm with Christian parents. He was convinced from a young age, that Jesus loved him. He spent a couple of years at university studying to be an accountant until God put a new direction in his mind and he moved his focus to studying the Bible at a theological college in Geelong. After graduating he served in a church in Sri Lanka for six months. He then married and served in a church in Kingston Tasmania, for 17 months before moving his family to Adelaide to spend 10 fruitful years serving in a church. Ron, his wife and 4 children moved back to Penguin in 1997. He returned to full time ministry in 2018 at Penguin.
There have been good times and tough times, but I can testify that God is always faithful and gives His help in our times of need.
Elders
The elders oversee the operation of the local church.
Through prayer and deeds, they promote the sharing of the gospel, and provision of help to those in need.
Pastor Johann
Pastor Johann grew up in South Africa. He served in the army and it was during this time that he was called to ministry. He studied at university and achieved BA,(1984) Honours in Philosophy(1985) BD(1987)DD & PhD (1997-2006). In Johann’s 35 years of ministry he has strived to focus on teaching and demonstrating that God is good, real, and that his grace is revealed to us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Johann sees himself as a ‘biblical theologian’ with a pastoral heart who strives to bring scripture and doctrine together in an ‘all of life for Christ’ approach.
